College and Career Ministry

"But sanctify the Lord God, and always be ready
to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason
for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear"
~1 Peter 3:15~

The Remnant

Welcome

georgejeannette2My name is George Waite, and along with my wife Jeannette we lead the college and career ministry called "Remnant" There are two important things we desire to see in our group.
1) A growing and thriving personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2) Be able to give people answers.

There are many other things we desire to see but these are the top two, and the reason? This is what is lacking the most in Christians today. It is not enough to say you are a Christian, but to have a life that reflects what God has done in your life. During our study times we pray that you allow God, through the Holy Spirit, to work in you, so you have that "Hope that is in you"
We also believe that God has answers. Have you ever been asked a question about the Bible that you didn't know how to answer? As we study the Word, God will provide those answers. 1 Peter 3:15 was the verse God gave us for Remnant. The word "defense" in the passage above is translated from the Greek word "Apologia" which is where we get our word apology or apologetics. So we do focus on apologetics a bit, in hopes that God gives you the answers that not only you have been searching for, but to answer those who have asked you a question that you weren't quite sure how to answer.
As you see on our page there is a "Got A Question?" link. If you have a question type it in there and I will try and get the answer for you.
We have a calendar of events so you can see what times we meet or when we might be doing something fun, or ministry opportunities.
There is also a "Study Helps" tab where you will find links to help you in your study of God's word
We look forward to meeting you
